In a fast developing multicultural society peaceful coexistence of different religions becomes increasingly more important. World security appears to depend more and more on either the presence or absence of dialogue between religious groups. Instead, we identify shortcomings in the lives of different religions. Understanding each other is essential and EU’s lead in directing and implementing activities for the advancement of such understanding is critical.

The doctrines of different religions, their interpretations and origins, are obstacles to diverse religious groups coming together. This aspect is hardly studied. Efforts to find commonalities among the religions in order for them to coexist on the local as well as the global level need to be pursued. In many respects, our existence depends on that.

Our aim is to bring the different nationalities' interpretations of religious beliefs closer, to find their commonalities, and to continue to promote tolerance among faiths. The final goal is for society to understand the relevance of religions; this goal would be especially applicable among the young who are the future.

Activities are project-based. The established fund allocates payments for different activities, such as taking care of houses of worship and monuments, making religious information accessible and popularized among the young, and the development of publishing possibilities.

Representatives from different confessions and religious groups would be participants in the Alliance. The Alliance would network with the UN, the EU, the government of the Republic of Estonia, and international religious and human rights organizations.
